Matt Kechele Surfboards are shaped in Florida by Matt Kechele. Matt proved his expertise during his pro surfing years on the world tour, surfing and placing at such events as Pipeline. Matt Kechele Surfboards are perfect for east coast surf. Matt is one of the coolest guy's you'll meet and has been a mentor the Kelly Slater, the Lopez Brothers and Todd Kline earlier in their pro surfing careers.

The "Squish" model Matt Kechele Surfboard
"The Squish design has the influence of a standard squash and a fish - more foam, more tail, more width and lower rocker with vee running off the tail block. Recommended length to match the rider's height or two inches above. The Squish allows for more turns per wave, and I am getting excellent feedback off this design. Recommended fin set-up - FCS." - quoted from kechelesurfboards.com

The "Stub Fish" model Matt Kechele Surfboard
"The Stub Fish and Mix Fish are proven small wave destroyers. These boards are the answer fro small wave surfing. My team riders have dominated and won many pro contests with these designs. The latest win came to me as a surprise when I won the Jacksonville Ocean and Earth Pro Event on a 5'7" Stub Fish. These modern day fish designs allow you to get major speed with minimal effort due to the fat tail and Concave X3 leading on the tail. The swallow tail gives deeper wave penetration with every turn allowing you to build on your speed, and to do more maneuvers. IN SMALL WAVES - SPEED GENERATION IS EVERYTHING! I am currently shaping these with bump wing, double flyers or sting wings (optional). These boards are shaped thick for easy paddling, and are also an easy transition from your regular performance shortboard. Recommended length to match rider's height or two inches above. Recommended fin set-up: FCS." - quoted from kechelesurfboards.com
